There are many good schools of high
standard but majority in Ibadan are privately owned.
Parents need to lay a strong
foundation for their children by sending them to standard schools that offer
nothing but the premium services. To do this, schools that offer quality
education must be sought for. That is the reason majority of parents prefer to
send their kids to private schools, because it is believed that they have what
it takes to cater for their students’ educational demands.
However, many of these privately
owned schools are very costly, while public schools are affordable. Despite the
disdainful regard on public schools due to their poor facilities and
unqualified teaching staff, some public schools have distinguished themselves
in many ramifications.
Some lucky old schools have alumni
who remain indebted to their Alma Maters and some have remembered to give back
to the school what they obtained during their student days.
Here are the top 5 public secondary schools in

1. Cheshire High School

The unique thing about Cheshire High School

Cheshire in 1959. However, the secondary school was later taken over by the Oyo
State Government.

found solace in this school because of its friendly provision for their
inclusion in the education sector, compared to other schools that only accept
able-body students. Cheshire High School has produced several students who have
furthered their education and have become graduates from Universities and
Polytechnics across the country and abroad, both HNDs, Bachelors and Masters
